Background

It is often demonstrated that wellness disparities between lesbian, homosexual, bisexual and queer (LGBQ) populations while the basic populace can be enhanced by disclosure of intimate identification to a physician (HCP). Nonetheless, heteronormative presumptions (this is certainly, assumptions centered on a heterosexual identification and experience) may adversely impact interaction between clients and HCPs more than is recognized.
